Honor is preparing to launch its most ambitious phone yet. The upcoming Honor GT 2 is rumored to pack a massive 8800 mAh battery, powerful internals, and flagship-tier features all aimed at setting a new standard for high-performance Android phones. The device is expected to debut alongside a GT 2 Pro variant later this year.
Honor GT 2 battery sets a new benchmark
According to recent leaks, the Honor GT 2 will include an 8800 mAh battery, one of the largest ever in a mainstream phone. That’s a big leap even from Honor’s previous heavyweights like the Power (8000 mAh) and X70 (8300 mAh). Despite its size, the battery is still expected to support 100W fast charging, meaning long battery life won’t come at the cost of charging speed.
This puts the GT 2 in a rare category: a flagship phone built for endurance.
